 New members are always welcome at St. Mary Star of the Sea! Every family and individual should be properly registered. We strongly encourage everyone to use our weekly envelope system. We need and depend upon your financial, communal and spiritual support! Please help us continue our 159 years of faithful ministry. Our Mission Statement
We, the faithful of St. Mary Star of the Sea Church in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, joyfully continue the mission of our Parish begun in 1851. We share in Christ's ministry by proclaiming the Gospel in our thoughts, words and deeds...seeking to spread the Good News of salvation under the loving care of our Blessed Mother. Since we live in challenging times of new possibilities, we as stewards pledge to strive to provide for the spiritual and temporal needs of our people. As the stars guide ships at sea, we seek to be a welcoming beacon of prayer and community to all who come...that they find a home for their hearts and comfort for their souls.
